It gives us great pleasure to declare the launch of the Official Web
Site of The Consulate General of the Arab Republic of Egypt.
This step aims to contribute toward reinforcing the long established
friendly relations between the UK and Egypt as well as strengthening
the ties between the peoples of the two Countries.
Also, we hope that our Web Site, will improve the performance in
general and provide whoever wishes to visit our Country with all the
required information, as well as visa applications within a few minutes.
Another aim behind the establishment of this Web Site, is to improve
our capabilities in providing the Egyptian Community in the U.K. with
all the necessary Consular Service.
We welcome your comments and suggestions, to improve our

REGULATIONS
1. Passport must be valid for at least six months.
2. Visas are valid for six months from the date of issue and allow a maximum stay of three months in Egypt
from the date of arrival. Visas cannot be post-dated and fees are not refundable.
3. Payment of fees:- by hand: CASH ONLY
(PERSONAL CHEQUES ARE NOT ACCEPTED FOR ALL PAYMENTS.)
4. No vaccinations are required for passengers arriving from U.K.
5. EU and American Citizens are exempted from registration with the local police.
6. There is a limit of L.E. 5000 on the amount of Egyptian Money you can carry to or from Egypt.

POSTAL APPLICATIONS REQUIRE
1. Visa Application form and one passport size photograph.
2. Postal order, crossed to be paid to THE EGYPTIAN CONSULATE.
3. Self addressed envelope Registered or Recorded only (not 1st & 2nd class mail) with sufficient postage
according to the rate and number of passports.
4. Envelopes should include completed application form, passports, postal order and stamped self
addressed envelopes only.
5. Allow 7 working days for processing visas.

1-Holders of Palestinian Authority passport can have a transit visa for 72 hrs.
2-Holders of Travel document for Palestinian refugees, if carrying a permission to pass through, can have a transit visa
for 72 hrs, otherwise must wait for approval from the Authorities in Cairo (Takes 6-8 weeks)
3- For over 50 years old: Visa the same day
